Reading often helps with fluency and comprehension. If your child reads an AR book to you and is ready to test on it, they may do so as soon as they arrive in class.
As of today, the School District of Lee County has made some changes regarding student login and passwords for some software. Your child will be issued a Student Network Account, which is different from the Student ID. This Student Network Account will be used to check out books in the media center and will also be used to access Compass and Pearson SuccessNet (Reading Street). It will also be used for grades 3-5, to access the Social Studies application through McGraw Hill.
For these applications, the username and the password will be the new Student Network Account. For instance, type the Student Network Account for the username, then type the same Student Network Account for the password. These resources are still accessible by going to the Gulf Elementary Web Page: http://gfe.leeschools.net/
If you have any questions regarding this transition, please contact your child’s teacher.
